T&Cs Field Rules
We want to ensure your visit is as safe and enjoyable as possible so ask that you carefully read and follow these rules and guidelines:
* Please take care on our driveway and watch your speed (5mph max). Our neighbours have a very elderly and deaf dog who often wanders onto the driveway. Please be patient with her!
* You must ensure that the entry gate into the car parking area is securely closed before letting your dog(s) out.
* The secure car parking area has space for only ONE car. There are spaces in our yard for two additional vehicles.
* Dogs MUST be kept on leads in our yard
* You are responsible for your dog(s) AT ALL TIMES whilst using the facility. And it is up to you to make sure the fencing and equipment is suitable for your dog(s)
* Physical and/or verbal abuse of dogs IS NOT tolerated at any time. Users seen treating their dog(s) in such ways will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
* Children are welcome on site, however you are responsible for them AT ALL TIMES. Those 16 and under MUST always be accompanied by an adult.
* you are asked to leave on time in order to prevent the next booking from having to wait. Time slots cover the unloading and loading of dogs, not just the use of the paddock itself. Users should ensure that their dog(s) are secured in vehicles/on leads during any crossover periods.
* Remember that some dogs visiting us are nervous or dog-reactive and DO NOT WANT TO MEET YOUR FRIENDLY POOCH!
* You are required to pick up after your dogs Poo bags and bins are provided. If you see a poo that has been missed by the previous user, please pick that up too to help us keep the facility clean for everyone.
* There is also a General waste bin on site. Please use for anything other than poo
* you are entirely responsible for your dog’s use of toys, whether provided by us or those you bring with you. Please ensure that any broken toys are placed in the waste bin provided.
* A variety of obstacles and play equipment is provided, along with natural obstacles (fallen trees etc). You are responsible for your dog’s use of the equipment. Any damaged/broken equipment should be reported at once.
* The Secret Garden is a natural environment with a variety of trees and wild flowers, some fallen tree trunks and old stone walls, along with a large grassy area. We’ve tried to keep it as close as possible to ‘a walk in the woods’ but this means that some areas will be uneven underfoot and so care must be taken and ensure that you wear suitable footwear
* No smoking, drinking alcohol or substance use is permitted whilst using the facility.
* Please do not climb (or allow your children to climb) on any of the play equipment or fences – Damage to as a result will be charged to you!
* Users must ensure that the facility is left as it is found and that ALL gates are securely closed prior to leaving the site.
* Please don’t bring your dog if he/she has any signs of illness (e.g. kennel cough, sickness/diarrhoea etc) Contact us via email/telephone where the dog(s) show signs of illness within the 12-hour cancellation period and we will happily reschedule their booking to a later date.
* We reserve the right to cancel sessions without prior notice, for example when emergency repairs are needed or due to severe weather conditions. If this happens we will contact you direct via email/telephone and any monies paid will be refunded via their original payment method.
* The facility is regularly inspected but please contact us straight away if you have any concerns or notice any issues such as broken or damaged fencing.
*We welcome all breeds of dog at The Secret Garden. However to comply with the terms of our insurance, there are some extra regulations around exempted ‘banned breeds’. If you have an XLBully (or other breed banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act) you MUST contact me to go through the regulations BEFORE your first visit. Text or call on 07814032486
We really hope you and your dogs have a fantastic time at The Secret Garden!
